I have the exact same problem, live in an apartment, no relatives here.... I have been looking up storage locker pricing, and it is pretty expensive.. I am still looking for a place that maybe has a seasonal rate... if I find anything reasonable I will let you know!

maybe a bunch of you should look at renting one and keeping them there all summer. like 10 or something.

or maybe i'll build a rack in my garage to hold 5 or 6 and take Pats idea;  'johnnies hardtop storage' hahahahaha

FWIW, i sold my hardtop cause i got sick of looking at it.  regrets for winter?  yes; jeep is cold; and i dont' like wearing gloves, etc.  (funny i know)

I know this isn't an option for the original poster with an apartment, but here is the plan I followed to put mine up in my garage:

I think I paid $40 for a worm gear hand winch and probably around $30-50 for cables and clamps.  All from Princess Auto

Thanks for putting up the pictures I've been considering rigging this up for the past few weeks.

I've also been considering making a wall mounted one, maybe with an arm on a sturdy hinge, something that might only take one pulley, then I can just back in flip it up for storage, and flip it down when I go to put it back on for the winter.

Check out the RV storage places, probably a bit cheaper than indoor storage. Also check the campground on the highway between Airdrie and Balzac.  I know some storage places offer outdoor storage for cars ect.
