I'm looking for some sound deadening material for the bed of my 3500 Dodge. We travel with our dogs in the back, so I'd like to make it a little quieter for them. I heard there was some peel and stick type of stuff at Home Depot or Rona that can be used....does anyone know what it is actually called?
sounds like your after roll roofing or building membrane. i have some membrane i'll apply to my xj, but thats under carpet. the butyl is what you want. the covering may not be strong enough for the back of a truck....
another name is SBS roofing with a base sheet and a cap sheet. the cap sheet has granuals in the surface like a shingle.
dynamat types for car audio would be very pricey for the much area.
how about applying thick amount of rust proofing to the underside to deaden to meal sound.
