Lifting My TJ shortly. Have I thought of everything I need.
« on: September 15, 2010, 07:51:29 PM »
So it's time to lift my 02 TJ 4.0 Auto.   Im going to stuff 33's on the stock Canyons with some spacers.   Im going to with the OME 2.5 Heavy Duty lift.  Also going to get a JKS 1.25 Body lift, 1" motor mount lift, JKS Adjustable Front Track bar and some Disco's.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

Thanks for your replys

Haven't orded nothing yet.  But I've got a ball park around 1300 for all that I have listed.  I will know more when I actually place the order.  I ball parked it on Northbridge's website.  I just need some advice on if I need anything else I should be getting with this lift.   Hopefully get her in by next Sunday if they have the parts in stock.

Oh and do I need to extend my front breaklines?  Im pretty sure I might but I aint sure.  I wanna get it all done by Sunday parts permitting.

I recommend you change up the trackbar to a currie TJJ. Stan knows the part number.

In appearence is is indentical to the jks, but has a few subtle changes that make it worth the money.

A larger bolt on the frame end eliminates the use of a tin insert thats required with the jks unit. A 1/2" bolt at the axle end provides better clamping force and is less prone to wallowing out.

There is a slightly larger radius in the bend which allows for more diff clearence on low lifts like the ome 2.5"

Heavier chromoly tubing.

The johnny joint at the frame is gusseted.

It isnt a lot more money, but it is a significantly better track bar.

^ this x100

More clamping force means you might only have to tighten it once instead of after every ride.
The stock bolt on the axle end is too small once you put bigger tires on and start going offroad.  Worth the extra cost for the larger bolt alone IMO
