What kind of mileage are people getting from their 4.0's? Can a person expect 300k with regular maint, 200k?
Is there any major difference between a YJ 4.0 and TJ 4.0?
What year did YJ's switch to Fuel Injection? When did Jeep do away with the distributor on the 4.0?

I have 280k on a 95 cherokee
YJ 4.0's are the same as TJ's until 1999. In 2000 the 4.0 got a new, more restrictive exhaust port head.
Right around 90 or 91 was the EFI change. Also changed to the better head that was used until 99.
Its either 2000 or 2002 for the first year of distributerless. Pretty sure 2000. I get that swap mixed up with the ax15-nv3550 one all the time.
Your later 4 litre is pretty much identical to all the others from the early 90's. Except the PoS head, dual pattern cam to accomadate the PoS head, and ignition system. All of its interchangeable.
