As of now I"m going to look into Black Auras suggestion and see if I can find something wrong...
Just to be sure the diagnosis is listening for the actual source of the tick?
Yeah, I was able to put my hand on the camshaft position sensor (gray cylinder thing sticking out of the passenger side of the engine) and feel it. If you have a mechanic's stethoscope you can hold it against the engine block right below and hear it there as well.
