I can understand using the P&S for the GoPro's, but I could never dream of mounting my 7D on the outside of the jeep.
Some cool view points though.

I use something similar for my 5DmkII and DMC-TS3, although I've been looking at upgrading to the triangulated setup to cut some of the vibration.
