My best friends wifes Grampa used to have a numbers matching M38 with the brass serial plates still intact stored in a Quonset out in Bowden. He promised me that Jeep and it was known to his direct family about this, but sadly one of his sons took power of attorney over his estate before he had a chance to make sure his collection of old automobiles could go to the right people. He was devastated to find out in his last few days that his collection had been sold off and the money never went back to him. He had a 52 Chev Business Coupe that was to go to his neices husband, (my best friend) as well a Karmann Ghia, and old Triumph, a 1962 International pickup truck, an ancient Datsun that we were able to tow back to Calgary before it was let go, as well as a couple other odds and ends. That picture of the Jeep history brought back some really good memories of sitting in that M38. Although the interior was in rough shape, that thing started every 6 months when he went out to take care of all his old vehicles.
