Ahh, that makes more sense haha.

 I was very confused because I spent a long time scouring PNP for an open 4.10 8.8 to throw a lockrite in.

The open ones are rare.  When I grabbed mine there was another 4.10 there too. It had a lsd as well.  i actually just picked up another 8.8 with an open carrier in it for parts/swap.  cheaper than buying the carrier from pick n pull.  which is amazing.
all in it should be a relatively low cost 8.8 build. if i ever get it installed.

Yeah it took me around 10 PNP trips until I found an open 4.10 disk brake 8.8

Overall the swap is pretty easy, did you grab an explorer driveshaft?

no i have the adapter already with a new 1310/1330 ujoint in it. just need to weld my perches on, weld the tubes and install locker and carrier.

for what its worth, that Lokka locker to my door was about 293$ all in.

they sure are cheap in Australia thats for sure

Oh I actually never realized they were different size joints haha.
I was doing a SYE at the same time so I just got pats to shorten an explorer shaft.

That's actually a really good price! I paid around 350 for my lock right from summit.

Its coming along nicely though!  ;D

and i have alot of parts to install and no time to do it haha.

on the list thus far:

detroit trutrac for the front
rear 8.8 ready to go.
JCR OTK steering i just picked up from heeps
some other little things here and there.

Btw I had to lengthen my rear dshaft with my stretch, I was looking at my old notes and figured out my shaft is actually just a xj front shaft with a 1310 flange from Pats.

That's a ruffstuff steering kit Johnny. Very similar to many other versions out there.
