Time to hit the bottle

I puchased mine from Air Liquide.  Size...  that depends on how much welding you are going to do.  I'm not sure of the capacity of mine, but the bottle stands about 3 ft

How much was it to buy and how much to refill and what kind of gas are you running 75/25 ???

I rent from Weldco , best price in town I got for both the rental and for the gas itself

I would think that renting a bottle would be the way to go, that way you can just exchange the bottle when you need a refill, no waiting for them to fill it for you.

I own my bottle and they just exchange it when it's empty, no waiting to have the same bottle filled.

Same here. I hate paying rent on my bottle so I bought it outright. Actually found a wicked deal at a pawn shop that didn't know what it was worth. Also this way I can exchange it where ever I want.

Find out who is local to you. For me I use Air Liquide simply because they have a depot at the NAPA in Cochrane. No sense in saving $20 on a refill if you have to drive an extra 30min to get it or they aren't open on the weekend when you really need it.

last fall i got my 3' bottle at praxair, i bought it, not rent. paid about 275$ for the full tank. i just went back to have it filled. i said i owned the thing. they exchanged it for a full bottle and it cost about 75$ i think. i didnt have to show them any paper work or anything. i think its 75/25 mig bottle. might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.
