Trackbar ends?
« on: October 25, 2011, 09:19:56 AM »
Ok, just got RE1600 track bar used.  Flexy end is in ok shape but I don't like them since I had the same trackbar on the old XJ and this joint was wearing out rather quickly - http://www.rubiconexpress.com/jeepparts/Product.aspx?folder=JPFTB&part=QA1EXML12

Would prefer to replace it with a regular tierod end like the Iron Rock guys have on their trackbar - http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IROR&Product_Code=ES3096&Category_Code=PFZ

but can't seem to find a tierod end that is the same size and left hand thread.  Spent the better part of an hour with a buddy down a Auto Value last night trying to find one and no luck.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks!!!

Do you know the thread size and pitch. Metric or standard ? On rustys web site there is a picture some where where they show three different tie rod ends and what kit to get to make it a double shear. It also shows the part number of the different tie rod ends used. Some double shear rods have the wrong length to make it into a tie rod end. I m sure evolution can set you up with a hiem that will work.
