Hi There everyone,
I'm not sure if this is a problem to post on here but if it is my apologies and please feel free to delete.
Just a little something a buddy of mine showed me on how to deactivate the seat belt warning chime. This will deactivate the warning chime when your not wearing your seat belt in the 2007 and up JK. This might work for others but i haven't tested it.
The manufacturer does not recommend doing this for obvious safety reasons and if the powers that be don't think this is ok to post then delete.
Step one: With the ignition off buckle up the front passenger or drivers seatbelts. Turn the ignition key to power the accesories and wait until the seatbelt warning light disapears.
Step Two: With the seatbelt still buckled turn the ignition on and start the vehicle. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle unbuckle the seat belt and buckle back up 3 times withing 10 seconds. The last time leave the belt buckled and turn off the engine. The seatbelt sound will chime once to let you know you have deactivated the system.
Now if you are not wearing a seat belt the vehicle will not chime to advise you of such but the indicator light will stay on. If you want to reactivate just do the same thing again and it will reactivate the warning system.
Again this is not recommended by Chrysler and you should always wear your seat belt!!
Cheers
