Shocks for 2" LIft

Hey,

As the title says im looking for some suggestions/recommendations for a decent performing shock for a 2" lift TJ DD.

Where kind i find the best prices?

What are your toughts on Full Traction shocks. Any good?

what color are they? They are probably a twin tube, basic shock. Get what you pay for. Billsteins will outlast them guaranteed. If you want a decent shock, get a monotube, and expect to pay close to $100 a corner. If you want to replace them again in a year get the twin tubes. Just my 2 cents

The full traction are white.

bilstein 5100's are chromish.
Be prepared for a very soft ride. When i ran them in my jeep, i never did get used to how soft they are. But, i bought them for my Dodge 2500 and again i find them to be super soft, not quite bouncy but close.
Offroad in the jeep they shone.
Pulling my travel trailer down trunk roads with my truck, they also shine.
On street, i can not praise them.

I think 5100's are rebuildable. I have some at the shop now, I will double check. If they are, we could valve yours a bit tighter Tom.

One nice thing about bilstein is their valving is expressed in engineering terms, making it easy to modify it in either direction.

I'll check on that tonight.

Tom, it looks like you can send them I. For rebuilding but there isn't any "standard" rebuild stuff for the DIY guy.

There is the 5160 available which is rebuildable and mount specific for vehicle applications.

Thanks Bill, i am getting used to it and i do have some airbags for it that will go in soon.
