Missing person. Anyone going out today?
« on: December 02, 2012, 09:38:48 AM »
My dad went out in his jeep yesterday (Dec. 1) to the Ghost Public Land Use Zone and hasn't returned.  He's by himself in a silver 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon (licence plate ZHB451), so please keep your eyes open for him if you're going to that area today. Cochrane RCMP is also searching, so if you have any info you can call them at 403-932-2211. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hopefully he's okay and hopefully he didn't go alone!

This is good news!

Thank you for letting us know.

Another reason to never go out alone (more then one vehicle) when you go out in the bush. You never know what might happen.

I'm glad to hear he's OK.

Glad he was found safe.  Why was he out there alone?  Heard he got a flat, no spare?

Hi Guys,

We ran into his jeep yesterday while doing inventory of the winter trails. It had a blown bead on the rear and a blown bead on the spare. Otherwise the truck seemed to be in fine condition. Recovery could be as easy as a spare tire or re-seating a bead if it's still there. Sorry to see this.

Good luck,
Ryan

Moral of the story. Tell someone exactly what trail u are running and when ur supposed to be back. Pack extra gear for potential emergencies. It's my understanding he aired down to 10 psi on stock wheels. No surprise he lost a bead or two.

Best bet is to just go with another rig.

Glad this guy got out safe and home to his family.

Do you know where on a map you passed by his jeep?  I am going with a crew tomorrow to recover it and I just want an idea of where we are headed.

Please don't post the location on the public board - PM it.  No need to let all the jerks out there know where it is.
