This post is from 2011.. Your Jeep has just stopped starting? What have you tried so far in the way of troubleshooting?

If you give us more information it may be easier for us to offer suggestions..
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

yup, i knew this was an old post, but it sounded similar.   normally i would just change the starter, but i saw online that these are prone to the ignition activator pin breaking under the ignition tumblers.   when i turn the key there is no click or anything, which isn't typical of a faulty starter and if i cross the starter with a screwdriver it spins without engaging. so i figured if it was the bendex (sp?) it would still do something when i turn the key.   the vid i saw showed how to change the ignition activator, but it looked like something i would smash if i tried doing myself.

in case anyone has a similar issue.    I changed the ignition activator switch in the steering column,   works fine now.  starter was good, just wasn't getting the message from the key.
