The bushings will have a lot more influence on the death wobble. One sloppy tie rod really wint hurt much. If you change out that tie rod and the front end does graduate to full on death wobble there is a good chance it will ruin the new tie rod you install.

i never do anything half assed lol,  I have zero problem dumping coin into it, just can't afford the best right now but don't want cheap either.  Already replaced tranny seals and bought all the rest of the seals buying all the bushings and anything else it needs ...and she is pushing 500,000 kms so looking into motor options in the near future too...been looking at stroker build but I'll worry bout that when i get a garage to work on my rig lol

I think you are misunderstanding what i'm asking.  I don't need someone to work on it or fix it for me, I can handle it thanks.  Now imagine you have something and you don't know  where it came from, or where to get parts for it cause you don't know where its made or who built it.................Thats where i am and thats it.
 

just replace it, then you don't have to worry about it.  i hate used crap, thats why i sell it and go new ;) (and complain the whole time about how much jeeps cost lol)

i'd just buy a new steering setup. Currie is pretty beefy and awesome. its pricey at 500$ give or take, but after you find out a good stock replacement (for a stock ZJ/XJ) costs 400$ the exta 100 is worth it.....  i was in that situation when i bent my stock ZJ stuff..... the beffier Currie was well worth it.

and if you have the 'beginning' of death wobble, the real things not far behind.  might be a good time to upgrade the front end to some actual 6.5" coils and ditch the 3" pucks and what look like F150 coils, and perhaps get longer sway bar links instead of 4" drop brackets on there ???
not sure what your track bar situation is but check it out for play; if its just stock/redrilled bracket might be a good idea to replace that with aftermarket too.

apologize for what? For not putting my punctuation and what not? I have insulted noone.   Read my posts i have said sorry in damn near everyone,  hell i even fixed it best i could what more you want?  for all the flack i have gotten i think I have remained pretty cool

so again i'm sorry but that last time i'm apologizing as now i feel i'm being insulted and treated like a kid "just saying" I graduated in 96 i forget stuff after never using it so i'm rusty give me a break :-)

...this is my setup for my tie rods.  One solid bar from passenger tierod to the clamp on other side.  Can't remove tie rod from bar, So  Obviously i'm gonna need from one side to other as i never replace just one.
 
anyone know who might make it?? ...if you want to help i thank you and if not ty anyways !! Oh and that stain on road is neighbors cars doing lol :-)

As you can see the boot is gone off passenger side and is dry





Oh right on its been a while since Ive seen  modified YJ steering . The upper adjusting sleeve gets cut and lengthened . Result very sloppy steering .
97 XJ,8'' LA ,35's , SBC .
98 ZJ daily driver .

hey everyone sorry i haven't been on to update i been busy working 12hr days 6 days a week,  just an update i just bought new upgraded steering system complete so the tierod issue is fixed.   Bought new leafs from rustys and 4 new upper and lower adjustable control arms and drop pitmen arm as mine wasn't good enough for me  want to order new coils but i have a question!!

 i believe i have f150 springs with 3 inch spacers how much of a lift would that give me? so i know to know what size springs to get,  I heard springs give me 4.5-5 inch lift? ...i'm thinking now that it's a 8+ inch lift as i have 36's with no body trimming done.   I would still love to join club soon as i can whats the first step can someone steer me in right direction ...oh and by the way thanks for the help now just gotta find good set of tires for it in 35's i thinkin lol
