easy (Liberty) trials at Mclean?

Are there any (fun) trails that a stock liberty can do with the occasional tug but no expected trail damage in Mclean Creek?

Ask m0th he did "Top of the World" (if you have a map)with his libery. He got minor Mountain stripes to his Jeep that's about it.

I think it is reasonable to expect at a minimum some pinstriping whenever you go off road, But there are some trails that are fairly wide open.  Even on the easiest trails something can happen. Fiend has a stock Liberty, he has come out wheeling with us at Waiparous, The liberty did better than most of us expected. But I believe he had some very minor damage and a flat tire.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

How about the wandering route that we took up to Top of the World?  You could also go down Priddis East like we did.  Other easy trails are Fish Creek, Sylvester and Elbow River trails.

Yup, Top of the World was a blast. Should point out that my KJ has a 3" lift and 31s so it does have a fair bit of clearance over stock, especially under the front skid.

I ran Quad at the Penticton Jamboree bone stock other than the aftermarket tranny skid and rock rails. The skid plates got a real workout but other than that the Liberty did great.

It hates the mud though. :)

yeah I don't care about pin strips or flats.  I'd just feel bad if he damaged something underneath.  I see what he says.

The biggest issue on a stock Liberty is (or was, Fiend may correct me as he has a newer model) the lack of a factory tranny skid.

Sorry, a bit O.T., but where can I finda current map of Mclean, to run all those trails? I found an online map, but it seems out of date, as some of the trails aren't marked, or changed.

AURS used to make a nice one that you could by for $15 or so.  

You can just go explore and make your own map.  That's pretty fun.

They usually have some at the campground store.  $4 or so I believe. They don't have all the trails on them, but it is a good starting point. I think the store usually opens by 10 on the weekends.

mine came with all 4 skid plates, some people say they only get 3 but not sure which or why, jeep brochures still state 4 skid plates.  best to look for them all because everywhere i went, the 3 front ones got a workout.

as for stock, it is OK, even did some things i thought it wasn't possible, especially with the stock crapyear tires.. lost knife mud was a challenge for me but after getting stuck i managed to make it through.  even surprised my dog who went back looking for me thinking i was still far behind.

the rear of the libby is nice and high but the front is quite low.  other than the flat tire, only damage was a few stripes.  the winter run caused a bit of damage from the tire chains though.

best thing about where i have been is the hardest parts had an alternate route to go around.
