Stereo Amp Location to Avoid Water!
« on: November 03, 2013, 01:53:08 AM »
Hey guys, wondering where people have found to be a good location for an amp so as to avoid it taking water if one goes deep?  I recently had water come in about an inch into my Jeep and it soaked the floor, was going to install amp under seat... any help/suggestions would be great!  Thanks!

You could mount it to the sub box which would bring it up a few inches anyway.

There are body ribs below the seats that you can mount amps to and are about 2" above floor.
If amp is small enough, you can mount to the springs under the seat them self. Very stealth but wiring is a pain. Another option is inside center console.
