« on: February 21, 2014, 10:57:37 AM »
What would be the best carb for '86 cj7 with a bored out 258?
Vacuums are basically gone and wired as simply as can be (had fire years ago so just did nutter bypass I think)
Thanks for any ideas

Took me all day but I remembered I used an Offenhauser intake manifold with a small 4 barrel edelbrock.

I used the Motorcraft 2150 from the ebay guy.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-MotorCraft-2150-Jeep-AMC-Eagle-Pacer-Carb-Upgrade-258-4-2-1-08-Venturis-/221368953156?ssPageName=ADME:B:FSEL:US:1123

On my 90 YJ with the 258.

No complaints, pre set up and jetted.

It was night like night and day from the stock Carter.
