JK AC compressor for OBA
« on: October 05, 2016, 02:02:45 PM »
my good ole' trusty air pump pewped the bed, so I think a winter OBA project might be in order.   we have set up the OBA on YJs before with no issue. ian runs a slick setup too.  I should be able to use my JK AC pump without issue right?  just drain the system, and when I go to plumb it use an oiler and an oil separator right?
figure it would be a neat winter project.

Should be basically the same, passenger car A/C pumps are pretty much all the same in terms of general design. May want to hide an expansion tank somewhere in case you want to run air tools on the trail.

I can never decide whether to fix the A/C evap core on the ZJ or just convert to OBA, haha.
