R U Looking for a welder
« on: December 26, 2018, 10:31:57 AM »
If you need a welder that has a portable unit, I’ve used a guy named Pat for a couple of projects now. He reinforced my holiday trailer frame and built a bike rack receiver right out at the storage place last year. This year he welded in a tunnel in the rear of my CJ to accommodate a new fuel cell with sump, filled a bunch of redundant bolt holes in the rear floor pan ( in my garage) and built me a rear bumper with swing out tire carrier (at his shop). The bumper is HD and really firms up the rear frame, uses a greaseless bushing for the swing out, has a built in hitch receiver and a couple tow connections. Really well done and didn’t reduce the rear approach angle. He has built a number of race car frames & high end snowmobiles so knows what he is doing. Next step for bumper is a powder coat from Top Gun.
