Repair Shops...
« on: October 07, 2010, 10:05:43 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has any recomendations on Repair Shops for my '98 TJ 5 speed standard with 4 banger?? I might be having some transmission issues. It seems to lunge and jerk once and a while at highway speeds. Seems to do in in 5th gear. The tach stays at the same rpm's but deff jerks pretty good. I've thought about just taking it to a Dodge Dealer in Calgary but don't want to be taken to the cleaners. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Few good shops that are known around here.

Broken axle, Chanda automotive, and Hi tech auto, can all help you out for reasonable prices.

If you get ahold of hitech, ask for Herb and tell himm Billy the jeep guy sent you.

Their number is 403-243-0424

Some others here will provide contacts for the other shops.

Good luck.

Lemon Aid Jay and Chanda would be my pick.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

I was going to make a similar post asking for advice on where to take my 02 TJ Sport to get some work done.  Need to get the left rear axle seal replaced and possibly some break work done.

But now I don't need to!

I gotta say I've only been a member on this site for a month or so and everyone on here as been amazing!

I personally a haven't tried the other ones posted so I can't comment on them, but I've never had an issue with Chanda, and their prices are great.
