found in a bone yard did not know they existed.
one 1986 jeep xj with a turbo diesel from the factory

anyone know how rare these are or what they are running for drive train and will the motor bolt into any other xj

Should be the Renault 2.0L Turbo diesel, not too many around.

I have no use for it, but wouldn't mind sneakin a peak...

Take it. Even if you don't use it, there will be too many vultures (like myself) interested in it for it to stay there long. :twisted:

it was hard to get parts for those things 10 years ago, I can't imagine how hard they would be to keep going now :?

I had a customer who had one, if his father inlaw wasn't a top notch diesel tech it would have gone straight to the junkyard. I think he eventually got rid of it about 8 years ago, too much work, low on power, no heat in the cab. :?
