Weekend camping

I’m looking at coming down from Edmonton this weekend to do some camping and also some 4wheelin` if I can get the chance. Since the mountains are only a short trot for most of yous, can anyone recommend some good camping spots? I wouldn’t mind a close wheeling spot as well. I will be camping with the women, so unfortunately I need the whole running water and shower thing If possible. Also some on-site scenery like a river would be a bonus! Can anyone recommend anything?

Gooseberry across the road from Mclean creek is nice family camping. You can camp at mclean too, but its a bit louder and might irritate your wife.
