Hello,

I am building a 46 cj2a, I am going to be using a 4.3l vortec, t-90 3spd tranny, t-18 tcase, rear d44, and a front d30. Here are my questions

1) the dana 30 front end has disc brakes, my jeep originally had all drum brakes. now that i have upgraded, do i have to upgrade the master brake cylinder. And is it possible to easily upgrade to power brakes as well???

2) Does anyone know of a company that offers bolt in fuel tanks for the cj2a that are larger than stock size?? as the original is really small.

3) Right now i have 3.73 gearing. I know nothing about gear ratios. I am running 33 inch tires and the largest i may ever go to is 35". I will be using the jeep for everyday use, and also 4x4ing, lots of trails, dense bush, some mud. VBasically want the jeep to be good all around. can anyone suggest the gear ratios I should be looking at and why, mor should I just stay with 3.73. Thank you.

Hope you guys can help me out, I have been on boards and websites all over the place and cant find anything.

I am building a 1942 Willys MB for my Dad.
4.3L, T176 tranny, dana 300 tcase, dana 30 front and 44 rear.
I am using 3.73 gears with 33" tires and they will work awesome with 35's as well. You should upgrade your brakes to power brakes while you're at it. Just find a small master cylinder and brake booster from any vehiclwe in a wreck and use it. You should also do power steering while you're at it.

I am replacing the under seat tank with a fuel tank from a CJ7 and mounting it under the back between the frame rails.

Heres my build thread, I will get busy on it next month.

I don't think so. I bought the Willys in Lethbridge and brought it home to Lloydminster.
