Eurospec & Xenon (aka Gas discharge) lights in ZJ

Hello, all,

Dug hard but could find any regulation preventing from installation of Euro-spec headlights (from Euro-ZJ), as NA standard lights just do not provide anything, but a glare for oncoming traffic.

It is just a simple pull out-punch in affair. Just wanted to know if anybody did that before.

Another Q - and another popular Euro-feature - Xenon, or gas discharge bulbs, common option on Benzes, Audis and so forth of recent vintage. You can buy and easily install them into Euro-standard headlights. Again, the Trans.gov.ab.ca did not provide any guidelines on this. Can anyone help?

you insights will be greatly appreciated.

First off, im having a problem truly understanding the question you have, but this is what i know.  First off, i personally think upgrading to Xenon headlights is a waste in money.  To run true high discharge headlights, your going to need what ends up being a very expensive ballast system, capable of providing up to 25,000V to ignite Xenon Bulbs. Of course after the bulbs are ignited, they are energy efficient to what i have heard, using very low current. Sure it all looks good, but personally, i would only have them on a vehicle of mine that came with it from the factory. Otherwise my halogens do me just fine.

Just my two cents
