A cop pumping the CJA
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:39:34 AM »
Guss what happend today.
I got pulled over  >:(
4 days after putting the lift and tiers on. After the cops where done looking all over the Cherokee and explaining what he was giving the $57 ticket for.( not having mud flaps) he asked me if I was part of any club. When I said in the proses of becoming a CJA member he said "good, good group of guys that are doing good work".
So qudos to the CJA

cool.  $57 isn't too bad, didn't know they had any tickets under $130 anymore.  sucky about getting it though.

Must have been a traffic cop.  Go around to the cop shops and take pictures of their ford explorer's without mud flaps.  Then go and fight your ticket.  Do not take pictures of the cop's personal vehicles in the lots. (this will get you unwanted attention)  If I remember most of the explorers that I have scene do not have mud flaps.  So why should you?

On my Cherokee I have a RE 3.5 lift and Procomp 31x10.5x15 extreme MTs .

The law stats that I have to have the width of the tier covered and the flap must extend to the mid point of the axial. So I bout two mud flaps from work for $10, drilled 4holes in the metal of my bumper and put them on with nuts and bolts. wont fall off and easy to remove for the trail but they will not hopfully walk away.
I am going to be taking some pics tomorrow and putting them up. I think I read somewhere that I can not directly past them to the post. I have to support them vea another site  ??? .
