Any suggestions on what length & capacity rating of "tow rope" a person should be buying?  Where is the best place to buy this kind of gear?
thnx

For recovery you DO NOT want a tow rope/strap!
What you want is a recovery strap with looped ends (NO METAL  HOOKS), 2-3" wide by at least 20'.
Princes auto carries cheap ones (yellow webbing) or good ones (white webbing)
I think mine was $55 3" x 30' (white) I believe its 15000 # rated but I might be wrong.

I agree .. no metal hooks.. these things will kill you.

I have a 2" wide 30' long good for 30,000# test procomp tow strap  ,.. I had it for 6 years and it's been working great.

Princess auto does have cheap ones (2,3, 5: wide) ... you can also wait until National 4WD has their open house... they have wiked deal that day.

think the new PA flyer has a 3" 30 foot (55000) 22000 load recovery strap for $79.  can buy it and forget about ever needing another one.  or can wait for a deal somewhere.

I recommend a 30 footer and Modern Motors has very good pricing on quality straps
