it is most likely a psychological thing. ie google anxiety, stress, panic disorder.
drugs are a quick fix and work quite well, but i prefer psychologists. lifestyle change, personal change etc. are just as important as taking drugs that hide/mask the problem.
seek out support groups for anxiety as well. don't brush it off as quack talk, it has become quite common and nothing to be ashamed of.
i was to major in psychology. 3 years at mount royal + university transfer down the drain because i started suffering from it. panic attacks before class, almost having a heart attack during exams etc. couldn't drive to or from school. spent 3 hours at the automall because i couldn't force myself to drive across the ogden bridge in traffic. it can be that bad.
to this day i rarely put myself in a claustrophobic situation (one of my glitches). things are much milder now but i still feel it if im in a restaurant, under a jacked up jeep, in a passenger seat, etc. different people have different triggers.
had i a chance to go back, i would have seen a psychiatrist asap heh. ironic.
