steerring isues

Ok i have a dead spot (OR hard spot) in my stering when i turn the steering wheel its hard at first than easy for a bit than hard again. If that makes any sence....
I think its my steering box 
What do you guys think???
 
Probly has sumthin to do with the 36in tires i started runnin 8)
Like ivry soap....pure as frack

Humm? did you forget to grease up your tires?  :P ;D

Jokes aside... how's are yout drag link ends? or your tie rod ends?... They are still stock ..right? They might be more stress on them because of the new lift and the big rubbers.

Just a guess...

Well i put all new ones on for ACE last year.
But yes i gota beef those up soon.
But i dont think its the issue with my hard spots in the steering

if u get crap in your pump oil it can do that.   flush steering fluid..

X2. seen that before on pooched pumps. change fluid and see if performance changes. also seen that condition on bad steering shaft u-joints.

If everything looks tight within tierods, draglink, steershaft Ujoints etc I'd blame the steering box. I just finished putting a junkyard special in mine today and my steering tighened way up. Take a look at the box shaft to pitman arm when someone is turning the wheel for you...thats where I saw my dead spot. Id try a flush first then maybe try throwing a new box in there...

Check the mounting bolts on the box.  On the inside of the frame there is a crappy  spacer that can literally disintegrate over time allowing the steering box to move around.  Let us know what you find.
