Clutch Lines problem.
« on: July 30, 2008, 03:03:52 AM »
Hey people,

Im just reconnecting all the lines and bleeding the clutch after doing a clutch and slave/master cylinder job. Problem I have run into is that the flare nut on the end of the slave cyinder is leaking. Its not leaking from the threads like most fittings its actually leaking from where the tube goes through the flare nut... Also, it came with a new odd piece that the flare nut screws into, I dont know how to replace this and It may very well be the problem. Does anyone know what Im talking about? Any suggestions?

When you were bleeding the clutch you may have caught a particle of crud where the flare seats into the tube nut.  This would prevent tighting the flare nut.

I checked that over a couple times now, it seems like the black piece that it screws into actually flares and a different angle than the old one, so i need to figure out howto replace that.
