05' TJ Air Bags
« on: February 09, 2009, 10:16:05 AM »
Upgraded the ride and now dealing with the dreaded air bag verse children problem. No key to shut off the passenger air bag, and no weight sensor that I know of. I see at the fuse box behind the glove compartment, are the 2 fuses highly marked for air bags. Dealer says not to pull fuse, as they might control something else in the system and just read manual, which is to put seat in furthest rear position. I would feel better if it didn't go off at all, with a child in front. Any ideas to switch the fuse? So when an adult does come along I can turn it back on.

After reading from this site, and not able to get a straight answer from dealerships. I imagine it comes to legalaridies. Unplug the fuse, your fault if an accisidnet occrures, keep it in, wrong seat for the youth. Covering their fanny. So I take the fuse on the right is for passenger and the fuse on the left is driver, I pull them, my right!?
