First post and moving out west.
« on: February 11, 2009, 07:31:52 AM »
Hi all. Moving out towards Calgary (about 3 hrs away and do not see any other jeep clubs close by Medicine Hat) area from Nova Scotia. Been part of the Nova Scotia Jeep Club for the past few years. Wondering how often the club gets out on trails runs and what types of trails do you run? Would love to get out this spring and wheel with anyone I've been missing it all winter. Shipping my jeep out hopefully getting it here by the end of March. I'll try and post up some pics when i get settled in and hope to meet some new faces and do some wheeling.

Welcome.

The club runs usually at least once a month and often twice.  There are also non club "open runs" almost every other weekend posted up in the Open runs forum.

The trails we run range from pretty mild to pretty wild so there's probably something for everyone.

What are the details on your Jeep?

Welcome,
I try to get out once to twice a month. Lots of winter wheeling included. We do lots of camping trips as well, they may work better for you if you have to drive up from the Hat. Club meetings are in Calgary on the third Wed of each month. Hope to see you at a meeting or on the trail soon.

Thanks for the welcome. Just trying to familiarize myself with the site and hipofully get some pics posted up in the near future of wheeling trips back home. If my jeep does get shipped here in one piece...lol...it is a black 2004 Rubi with a 4 inch Ultimate Fabtech lift and 1 inch body. I'm running in the winter 33 inch SS Truxus on Procomp steelies, in the summer i run 35 inch BF Krawlers on Ultra Rogue wheels which fit great under the fenders at full stuff with Xenon flat fender flares...haven't had the chance to try these out on the rocks yet. 8000 Warn on the front, home made belly up skid and lots of other armour. Plus all kinds of other goods. I have a few pics that i threw together on Car Domain if you wish to take a look. More mods and wheeling pics with friends...http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2220140. Hope to get out soon.

I'm from Yarmouth but lived in Digby the last 7 years wheeling mainly in the Annapolis Valley lots of cool trails. Just finishing up training in Saskatchewan and moving to the Alberta border just outside of Medicine Hat so I'm hoping to find wheeling close by but definitely willing to make those weekend treks and experience some different types of trails and scenery. What's the club name in Lethbridge? Thanks for the info.

Hey welcome to Alberta, I'm a member of the Lethbridge Coulee Kruzers, our site has been down lately but you can find it by googleing our name. We meet the first wednesday of the month. Most of our wheeling is done in southwestern Alberta in the crowsnest pass area, we are a friendly club and welcome people to come out to meetings and trail rides :-)
