Ford 9 inch
« on: September 27, 2009, 06:08:51 PM »
so i was playing in a river bed today and found an old car with what looks like to have a ford 9 rear, so i pulled it out brought it home and pulled it apart, this is were i`m stumped the axle looks exactly like a ford 9 but it only has 17 spline axle shaft and the carrier looks like it is stamped GM. so i was just wondering if GM made an axle that looks like a ford 9 or do i have an older ford 9.  the car was so crushed and beat up that i can`t tell forsure what it is.

If you're looking for a 44/ 9 inch combo I might have a set for you, I'll get a hold of the guy and see what he wants for them. They might come still attached to a truck is the only issue.

Would you be interested in Ford 9" with a mini-spool? You would have to re-gear for your application though. It's only got 3.50 gears in it. New brakes, drums, seals, etc. Big bearing style.
