My Hybred ZJ needs a tune
« on: April 16, 2009, 09:59:18 PM »
My Z is running like poo. It smokes, runs hot and is misfiring.

The new bulk truck driver filled our tanks, desiel first, then didn't empty the 50 feet of 2" hose before filling the gas tank. Hybred being part desiel part gas 5.2. I'm hoping $30 bucks of high octane, some octane booster and injector cleaner will atleast make it run decent enough to get the tank burnt off.

What a wonderful day. Tomorrow morning I can smoke the cresent out while I warm the beast up.

my first car was a 77 honda civic i pulled up to the pump once and the idiot attendant started filling it with deisel. it never ran better!!  the deisel will probly help clean the engine out for you and if you fill it up the rest of the way with gas you should be able to run it out. unfortunately i am not sure how the deisel will affect the O2 sensor you might be looking at replacing that once you run out all the deisel. good luck!

I'd be tempted to siphon what's left of that tank, and then fill with gas.
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

It has gas gas in it again, still not running like before, fuel filter going in tomorrow, cap and rotor and some E3's going in as well, wires on order. Was time for a tune anyways. Crappy thing is I just changed the fuel filter 2 weeks ago. We go through allot of fuel so I'll see if the fuel distributor will cover some of the parts. Gas-Desiel Hybrids have exhaust that smells like burnt kerosene
