No Headlights
« on: May 04, 2009, 10:40:54 PM »
I have a 95 YJ and amazingly overnight my headlights decided they didnt want to come on anymore. I just did a quick troubleshoot, checked fuses underhood and underdash they were good, ran a wire directly to headlight from battery to check headlights and there both good. all my dashlights, tail lights, markerlights, hazzards, and signals work. Is there a realy somewhere in the system????

Should be a relay somewhere... not too familiar with YJs... Haines or Chilton manuals might be a big help (for everything).
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

yeah a manual is a good start. I guess they have all the wiring dirgrams. Gotta love electrical snags!

i own a YJ. i know much about my YJ. i know that my Yj does not have the failure prone daytime running lights... do you have daytime running lights? if so, look for the black box next to the left front headlight on inside of grille... or right front side. when this thing goes you get no lights. im glad i dont have daytime running lights on my YJ :)
