33's on a 2" spacer?

So i want to make my freedom machine even more so, my buddy and I bought a '86 Bronco with some beauty 33's on them, then killed the bronco so they are essentially sitting in the woods. This is a waste. I want to put them on my jeep but am a university student and thus have a limited amount of money to spend on fun. I was wondering if the 33's could clear enough with a 2" spacer lift. I wouldnt be doing anything nuts like in the bronco because this jeep is also a DD so I wouldnt go on extreme trails. Im just looking to put the tires on and basically go on an adventure. Would a 2" be enough for my adventure?

PS I would use spidertrax for the bolt adaptation....anyone know if these are available in calgary instead of ordering off the internet?

Should be fine on a TJ, as long as your springs/coils are healthy and not sagging. The problem may be finding a set of spacers, I check N4wd during the BBQ and they were completely out and would not commit to when they may have more coming in, Modern did have a set (I bought mine there) but not sure how many they had left.

Yes they will fit, you might need new shocks though.  As for spacers, call Will or Yaesu at North Shore Offroad. www.nsor.com  I got mine for $240 shipped, which is a few dollars more than the US price.

Did your buddy leave the vehicle in the bush? If he did that’s not cool . If by woods its stored on private property sorry no problem. If he has abandoned the vehicle on government land then kick him in the arse and tell him to go and find a way to get it pulled out or ask for some help to clean it up.  Please let us know, last thing we need is more scrap cars in the bush.

What type of Spacers? did it come as a kit with shocks?

I paid $90 for mine a modern, and I am pretty sure N4WD was about the same price.

Sorry I meant the Spridertrax spacers.  I think I spent $275ish on my BB, including shocks.

I did a 2" spacer lift on my gf's 97 TJ (low mileage, so the springs were not sagging at all) and it clears 33's just fine. Put them on a cheap set of 15X8 wheels and it works just fine. We do take it in the bush from time to time.

Alright thanks for all the info! As for leavin it in the bush...no. its on our property in some trees so no one can see it. its not leaking. its just not running.. possibly due to the lake that it swam thru. I was lookin on the net for best prices and called modern motors cause that who im familiar with. Modern says the 2" (actualy 1.75") is 45.80/pair and theyll order em in. The adapters are 60 each but they went ahead and said 33's wont fit...which i believe to be all lies.
however on http://www.savannajones.com/ they got these fender flares that stick straight out instead of curving. I think ill believe yall and go for it. thanks for the help.....and no....no saw

you'll learn eventually the sawzall is your friend

any shop will tell you that because they are trying to upsell you on a lift.  plus if they said it was fine, then u go and bugger up your tires on your fenders and go back at them it looks really bad for business and stuff. everyone airs on the side of caution.  you'll probalby clear 33s without to many problems. i'd lower your bumpstops as well......... or when you flex you'll probably rub a lot.....

I say shove em on.  Only way to truly see if they "clear" is to flex on them anyways.  A little rub's not a big deal.

I was thinking about my install and one small issue I did encounter was with the rear tires, I am only running 31's and on stock rims but my driverside rear tire was within a 1/4" of the stock coil buckets. It was an easy fix with a little grinding  . how wide are your 33's? my 31's were only 10.5" wide, will you  have the apropriet back spacing on the rims you are going to use?
