ok so where is the best place to buy sheet metal?

Depending on how much you need I may have some chunks you can have :) or if its still driveable maybe just stop over with it and let me see if I may be able to whip up a quick patch panel PM me

if it were me i would grind off the rust because i have no way to get to a sand blaster, then i would paint it with some trim clade rust paint, then throw down a chunk of dimond plate with rivits, then bed line it it would look good and all your rust problems are gone.

thats what i would do. at big horn sheet meatal in canmore dimond plate is 2 buck a square foot i get a good deal though work but i'm sure you chould get it cheap some were.

I just patched up my floors on my YJ with sheetmetal from princess auto @ 22 bucks for 24" x 48" sheet using bad welds and machine screws.

What does it look like now after hitting hit with the wire wheel? From the one picture it looks like the left side by the wheelwell would be very thin after the prep work. Might want to consider cleaning and priming the current floor really well and then just skinning it.

it does look pretty thin after cleaning and i totaly thought about skinning it but what do i put between the old and the new so that it does not hold water and just rust out the new? i actually think skinning it would be the best because after i bed line it, it will look sweet
