Hey yall. just lookin for a quick answer here. I found a set of beadlock rims with 33" road tires for 300....so i was desperately interested. then the guy emails me back sayin theyre simulated beadlocks 300 for the rims. My question is about the rims. are sim. beadlocks just rims to look like the BL's or do they actually have the function?....i think i know the answer but conformation is a brilliant thing

They don't really do much, but they do add another layer of aluminum to beat on, which could save a little abuse to the rim. They also should add a little bit of strength to the lip of the rim, maybe stop it from bending or bending as far when smashed against rocks.
