No Start 4.0l
« on: July 22, 2009, 07:31:51 PM »
Buddy has a 87 xj with 4.0l and it will not start.  Seems to be no fire.  Starter is working, plug and wires, distribuater cap rotor and coil have been changed.  And the crank shaft sensor have been changed.  Any thought that might be the problem.

check the fuel rail for pressure?  can u hear the whir of the fuel pump?  try the cam position sensor as well. it works with the CPS.  its in the distributor i believe.........
