My driver's side door was almost impossible to remove the FIRST time. Is easy now. The hinges are probably a little on the dry side (but WD40 won't help at this stage) or a little missaligned like mine WERE.
I used a highlift jack, on pavement, with the jeep in 4LO with the brake on, with the help of two other guys. We practically lifted one side of the jeep off the ground before it started to budge - and then it still took some encouraging to get off. We backed the hinge off when there was only about 1/2" of pin in the hinge and we had to work it like crazy!
About every other time I have the doors off now I lubricate them with lithium. Now I can remove both by myself. Just not fun carrying them up four flights of stairs to put them away. [Anybody live around Market Mall that has a garage/shed with door space...? Could pay yearly access with beer shaped money.... just saying.]
