No clutch Pedal.

Well, serves me right i guess. I lent my rig to a friend to get home one night, long story short i had to go pick it up from the side of the road. There is No clutch pedal. I dont know if the clutch is gone or if its a linkage or Hydraulic issue. Its a AX-15 trans and like i said there seems to be no tension at all on the pedal. I wasnt driving it so i dont know what exactly happened. It will start in 1st and drive. will not shift gears. Short of dropping the trans to get a look i thought i'd post here to see if anyone has any ideas.

there is the slave cylinder connects through firewall to clutch pedal.  it uses a ball and socket connection.  check that area on the pedal.  then follow it under the hood and check the fluid level of the slave reservoir.  follow that down to the tranny where it goes in.  yours may be internal or external slave, i do not know. but look em both up on google and find out the difference and pics to know which is yours.

should be able to get more information after doing that.

I think the break is 93 when they switch to an external slave.  If you have an internal slave you will have to drop the tranny, if the slave is the problem.  But as Fiend mentioned follow the system from the pedal to the tranny looking for leaks

I would check fluid level first and make sure its full, may just have some air in system

all you need is 1st. power shift dude.  my old ford had a problme with it. i drove it all summer. only used clutch in 1st/reverse.  yes. tranny was still fine.

sounds like a leak in the slave. under the hood by the master cylinder is a lil' black resevoir. check it. i bet its  empty. fill it. then go jump on your clutch a bunch. see if it gets better. if no, look under jeep for puddle. find out where its coming from.

On my TJ, there was a clip that holds the rod coming through the firewall to the clutch pedal itself.  It broke and came apart.  I think I used some sort of e clip to get it connected again.  Hope your issue is as simple as that.

Well turns out its a minor seepage at the reservoir - the fluid was just low enough that when the pedal was engaged it would suck some air through that rigid line. Thanks for suggestions, helped a tonne.
