Rebuilding front D30?
« on: November 12, 2009, 09:28:53 AM »
Ladies and Gents,

It appears as if the gears on my D30 are beginning to go.  As such, how difficult is the rebuild? I typically do the majority of my own work on my jeep, however, im less inclined to trust myself rebuilding something that may grenade itself on the highway if installation tolerances are off.  Parts appear to be about $200-300... but the labour from a shop is what kills the budget.

Alternatively, if anyone around here knows of a good shop w/ decent rates or is a mechanic and does work out of their garage and wants to make some cash. Fire me a pm and we can work something out. I'd like to learn how to do the rebuild properly.
