Drunken retards
« on: November 06, 2009, 10:15:22 PM »
So my buddy got hit and run a few weeks ago and being "the Jeep guy" in my circle of friends its up to me to fix the damage.

Front bumper, header panel, header panel braces, driver quarter panel, washer bottle and the drivers seat mounts are broken.

So far I have about 3 hours into it, just need a header panel and replace the quarter panel and I'm done.

I think it looks cool with no bumper, I wonder if his girlfriend will let me leave it off. ;D Or maybe chop it and make a stubby.

Yeah, when i first saw the damage I thought it was done for. Shop looked it over and said the frame was fine and there are no alignment issues surprisingly.  The reason the seat mounts were loose is that the seat was messed and and leaning to the side, so over time they just loosened off when someone sat in it.

Do you know that in the event of an hit & run accident and your vehicle does not have collision coverage on it's insurance policy, you can still get the damage covered?

I had a car which was the victim of a H & R and the chick at the registry office informed me that part or your annual licence fees covers the vehicle but only if you don't have collision coverage. In my case I did have collision coverage so I wasn't elegible.

It certainly won't hurt to call a registry office and check into it.
