Suggestions please?

I'm very new to the world of Jeep. I've looked into some websites like Jeepforum,L.O.S.T., and a few others. I've only used my vehicle to manoeuvre the winter streets. I was hoping to take it offroad sometime when the weather gets better. Are there  any other Liberty owners on this site who take their Jeeps off road and not just the street? How did it perform? Mine is fairly stock , but I did remove the running boards. Thanks in advance!

I have wheeled with stock and modified liberty's and they do fairly decent offroad.  The biggest problem is traction with the stock tires, especially if the trail is muddy.  There are a few trails around mclean and waiporous that a stock liberty can do.  Please make sure you have good and strong tow points front and rear

Thanks for the reply. I've got the factory tow points up front and the factory trailer hitch in the rear. I just need a shackle bracket and d-ring for the hitch. I'm not running the stock street tires anymore. I've got some stock size tires that are a mild all terrain design. I'm seriously flirting with the idea of a suspension lift and some different tires. Does anyone suggest a particular lift. I know I can't get too crazy with the IFS up front. I'm not looking to make a trail rig. I just want something I can take my kids out to the backcountry with. I've found a lot of "spacer" lifts that retain the stock struts,shocks, and coils for cheap. I think Daystar makes poly bushing spacers?
