Have you followed the wire from the main fuse box through the firewall?

not yet, but i did put a lower amp fuse in then shaked the crap out of every wire trying to get it to blow and find out where the short is, but i came up with nothing. now that i noticed that it only blows when the brakes are on i can try again.

you have a trailer plug on it, seen trailer plug looms closed in tailgates causing a short when lamps used.

ok here is another update in to this gremlin.

jumped in the jeep the other night and noticed a flash from under my seat, so i wiggles my big arse a couple of times and sure enough when i lean to the front and right it shorts out. which kinda explains every thing. considering i have power seats this makes a lot of sense now i just have to look under the seat and find the short.

stupid gremlins!  >:(
