I am in the market for an enclosed cargo trailer and saw an ad last night for a 2008 or 2008 8 x 18 trailer for about $2,900.00 (should be worth at least $6,500 used). I asked where I can see it and here is the reply I got:
Hello there
Sorry for my late response ,because of my job i sometimes can't reply to fast. I work at the hydrological and meteorological Observation Station in Alert, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut. I'm stuck here for the next 3 months and after that i have to move to another station in Europe for another year and I won't be needing the cargo trailer anymore and i figured why not sell it. At this time the cargo trailer is located in Yellowknife, NWT and it's still available for sale at the price of $2.700.00 CAD. We can use the eBay vehicle Purchase Protection service to handle this deal. I recently had a buyer and I went ahead and made the arrangements for the shipping and payed all the fees, but unfortunately, my buyer’s loan was not approved so I was not able to complete the transaction with him and I still have it ready to ship anywhere in Canada.

I then sent the following reply:
Ok Richard,
I want in, I have seen tons of these scams over the last year or so and want a part of it.
Can you help me get started, ie. how do you hijack the ads? where do you advertise? what is your success rate at getting the suckers to actually pay you money? How long do you leave the ads up for? (I see the one I responded to is gone).
I'll tell you what, you help me get started and I'll give you 15% of my profits, not too bad considering it will only take an hour or two of your time.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Vince
Think I'll hear form hin again?
Who knows, maybe I'll have a smoking deal on a $30,000 Jeep that I can sell to one of you lucky folks for $2,000.00
