Auto locker
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:27:51 PM »
Recently I have been looking into adding  a Lunchbox style locker to my Jeep (Lock right/Aussie in particular)
I've done a fair bit of searchin but nothing beats a asking those who are directly in the know

So, given Calgary winters and the fact that I am sure there are some runnin around with auto lockers

For road manners where should I put an auto locker?

Front
or
Back

Also any particular brand that impresses you?

Yes it is my DD and yes selectable would be certainly be ideal..but cost
Thanks

in the back. your rig will want to go straight when you try to turn with it in the front.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

I've ran a lot of different lunchboxes in my day. Lock-rite, EZ-locker, Aussie. Snap, crackle, pop behind V8 power and big mud tires. You should be fine with an I-6. I  found that an automatic and longer wheelbased rig was easier to drive on the streets in winter over a shortwheelbase rig, and a manual trans. It just takes some getting used to is all. I would have to say that Aussie would get my vote.  Their customer service and tech people were really good to me. Good luck with whatever you end up with.
