4.0L oil consumption/burning

consumption is roughly 1L per fillup. i burnt 2L in waiparous a few weeks ago.  its not buring blue very bad; occassional blue puff though.

Johnny, you sure your putting the oil in the right hole?

well pulled the valve cover off and checked the valve guides and they are bad to say the least.   maybe the pookapotamus can put a link up of it. it was pretty impressive. 
also, looks like the 1 and 6 cylinders are pitted pretty bad..........

so driving home yesterday (with soft top on) i opened the window, and again, almost choked myself out of the jeep.  i'm having a hard time believing its an exhaust leak, even though it kinda smells like exhaust....

i've also put another 2L of oil in it since saturday.  i've driven to work (chinook) twice, and okotoks once. not even 100KM.

drivin it till it explodes.

Don't change out the motor till after summer John. You and Slim's YJ's keep the mosquitos away from us out on the trail!
