Switch for onboard air
« on: May 07, 2010, 01:53:18 PM »
With the ARB on board air under the hood where does the switch go?  The wiring diagram shows in the cab but wouldn't it be better under the hood. Since the hood is open to attach the air hose.  Any suggestions ?

I would keep it in the cab to keep the switch from being damaged by heat, vibration, mud, dirt, and water......

I see your point with having it where you are working though...
You could wire in a switched relay and have both, but if you are only using it for running tools and not lockers, than there wouldn't be much reason to having switches in two locations.

With all the water, dirt and vibrations, I would keep the switch inside if you plan on keeping the switch from ARB.  If you pick up a weather proof switch, you could put it under the hood.

You just don't want to drill through the firewall  ;)
