Check out u-wrench...I think he charges $10 a tire if you do it yourself...last time I was there his balancer was not working but he had balance beads for sale.

that is an idea, but if you don't know what you are doing, why take the risk with an expensive tire, and pay the guy too and then have to pay more for balance beads because his balancer "does not work".  sorry but I am just a cynic

what are people's experiences with balance beads any way?

I have had a few people say that if the tires are cold they suck until they heat up and the beads start moving around again, not great for high performance stuff from what I hear too.

Yeah im not looking to spend 200 bones just to play musical tires, just thought I'd see whats out there. I'm going to try to get the rims sooner but....some stores....dont follow their word all the time...or honor their quotes.....

Anyways thanks alot for the info, I'm pretty sure I'm going to try for you Steve but, like I said. the tires are under a pile of junk in a strange new house  ;)
